What You’ll Experience

• Create your own smudge fan — a sacred ally for rituals and energy work.
• Learn intuitive and energy testing practices that deepen your sensitivity and awareness, to harmonize materials and enhance awareness.
• Take part in ceremony, meditation, and movement, with moments for stillness, reflection and joy.
• Experience ceremony, meditation, and sauna in a nurturing, sacred space.
• Infuse your creation with your unique energy and intention through guided rituals that connect you to your unique vibration.

What to Expect

• Friday – Arrival & Intention
  Arrive, settle in, and meet the group. We open the space with ceremony, set intentions, and begin connecting to the energy of the materials you’ll work with.
• Saturday – Creation & Connection
  Guided meditations and energy testing help you tune into your intuition. You’ll learn to harmonize feathers, crystals and wood — creating your own smudge fan step by step. In the evening, you may want to share a sauna. We will then have a blessing circle to honour your process.
• Sunday – Completion & Ceremony
  Final touches, energy alignment of your smudge-fan. 
We close with a ceremony by the ocean, blessing your creation and integrating the weekend’s experiences.

About the Smudge Fan

A smudge fan is a sacred, hand-crafted tool traditionally used in energy and purification rituals.
Made from feathers, wood, leather, crystals and possibly any sort of natural materials, it helps move smoke and energy through space.
Each fan carries the personal frequency and intention of its maker — a reflection of your spirit, energy, and creative essence.

Material provided

I will provide the following materials:

• Feathers : pheasant, hens, roster, pigeon, crows, mag pie, duck, guinea fowl, 1 sparrow wing, heron.
• Crystals : small size of amethyst, rose quartz, carnelian, obsidian, clear crystal, tiger eye, turquoise, malachite, hematite. 
Not included will be crystals of bigger size and other variety that you may want to include to your creation.
• Shells : mothers of the pearl, shells found on the beach, many different choices and shade.
• Leather : cow, rabbit fur skin, and leather colored cords
Not included will be crocodile skin.
• Fabric, lace, ribbons.
• Handle : drifted wood, antler, shell.
• Probably also other furnitures.

If you want to include one piece of yours that is precious for you, please bring it.
Lovely piece of lace, fabric or leather, special shell, crystal...
You may want also tour in charity shops and see if some element jump at your eyes. Or maybe you have an old leather jacket or shoes that are too worn to be wore, so you can use the leather of them.

THE SITTING

Held on the wild edge of West Cork, near Mizen Head — where land and sea meet and creativity flows with the tides.
The ocean air, natural stillness, and elemental beauty make it the perfect place to rest, create, and reconnect with your intuition.

RETREAT DETAILS

• Location: Near Mizen Head, West Cork – overlooking the sea and surrounded by wild nature.
• Dates: 5th (starts at 5pm), 6th, 7th December 2025. Closure at 5pm.
• Cost: €400 (includes 2 nights accommodation, sauna, materials & full guidance).
• Optional catering:
  2 breakfasts : €12
  2 dinners : €32
  2 lunchs : €20
  It will be without meat. Possible to adapt to gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian.
  I will provide snacks, tea, coffee.
• Limited to: 5 participants – small, intimate, and deeply personal.

ABOUT MURIEL

I am a French Kinesiologist and Energy Worker who arrived in Ireland nearly nine years ago, drawn by the wild beauty and spirit of West Cork.
For more than twenty-four years, I've studied and practised Kinesiology, supporting thousands of people, and animals, on their healing journeys. My path has also woven through Shamanic traditions, Reiki, and spiritual energy healing, grounding my work in both ancient wisdom and embodied experience.
Creating smudge fans has become one of my greatest joys. I love the dance between energy, intuition, and beauty with each piece becoming a living reflection of the soul that made it.
I’m deeply passionate about sharing this work through retreats, workshops, and one-to-one sessions, and I look forward to welcoming you into this creative and heart-centred space.
